We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Head Technician to lead floor operations in our 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital. In this leadership role, you’ll support the Nurse Leader, supervise clinical teams, manage anesthesia protocols, and ensure top-quality patient care in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise floor operations in the absence of the Nurse Leader.
- Mentor and train veterinary technicians.
- Assist in surgeries and perform anesthesia.
- Oversee estimate and invoice accuracy.
- Manage medical records and lab samples.
- Communicate clearly with clients and staff.
- Ensure hospital cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
- Operate diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
- Uphold safety and DEA medication protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- 3+ years in a veterinary or healthcare setting
- Strong communication, multitasking, and leadership skills
- Comfortable with physical demands and emergency settings
- Availability for nights/weekends as needed
